What it’s good for
Otter writes down what people say in a meeting as it happens and gives you a summary afterward.
It can join your Zoom, Google Meet or Teams calls on its own and take notes, so you can focus on the conversation.
Who it’s for
Students in lectures, journalists, and teams who want a searchable transcript of every call.
Watch out for
- Tell people you’re recording. In some places everyone has to agree.
- Its assistant joins the call as a participant, which some people don’t love. Granola works without a bot.
- Pro is $16.99/mo, or $8.33/mo on a yearly plan. That’s a big difference.
How it compares
