What it’s good for
Granola listens through your computer or phone audio, so no bot shows up in the meeting. You jot down rough notes and it fills them out when the call ends.
I put it next to Otter. Lots of people like Granola better these days. Otter is still great if you want a live transcript as people talk.
Who it’s for
People with lots of calls who don’t want a bot joining, like founders, salespeople and managers.
Watch out for
- Let people know you’re using an AI note-taker. It’s good manners, and in some places the law requires everyone’s consent to record.
- The free plan only keeps 30 days of history.
- Read the summary before you send it to anyone. It can miss who said what.
